North West of England Branch - Evening Workshop
High Performance Team Development Using the ASTA9
Speaker: Joe Jordan
Tuesday 28 January 2014, 6pm - 9pm
Waterstones Events Room (2nd floor), 91 Deansgate, Manchester, M3 2BW
The ASTA9 comes from Manchester based Smithfield Performance which is a business psychology consultancy specialising in talent and team development.
The ASTA9 is a team performance tool that measures team architecture. It focuses on the way the team is organised, the strategy and direction of the team, the way decision making is handled, the way the team is led, the relationships and culture that exist in the team, the innovation processes, the way co-operation and competition is harnessed, and the extent to which the team is properly connected to the rest of the business.
It is a diagnostic instrument which can be used to determine the most beneficial development interventions for the team as a whole.
The accreditation workshop
This accreditation workshop will provide practitioners and academics with the opportunity to explore the tool, how it was composed, how it was developed, and how it has been used with organisations.
The workshop is open to all potential usera of team diagnotics including consultants, researchers, HR professionals, business and change management professionals. The tool is applicable to both private and public sector organisations. It is also a tool which can be used by students in MSc and PhD research projects.
The tool provides an excellent opportunity for practitioners to expand their range of services into team diagnostics, high performance team interventions, executive team development, board development, change management, and organisational development. For scientists, the tool provides a research instrument which can be used in cross-sectional and longitudinal studies of team effectiveness, organisational culture, change management, employee engagement, and performance management.
Smithfield Performance is seeking to expand its benchmark tables and is looking for practitioners and academics to use the instrument on a low cost research license for a limited initial period.
